Students took a break from their normal Science lessons to investigate murder!

The special Crime Scene Investigations workshop was held at Keighley’s Civic Centre in the new Police Museum and Forensic Science Centre.  Students spent the day as if real detectives, attending a murder briefing, visiting the crime scene, interviewing suspects and studying forensic evidence; before announcing who they believed to be the murderer.

Back in July I led a planning session for the Academy’s Senior Leadership Team at which we focussed on the impact of our improvement work between January and June and what we would be taking forward into the next two school years.  From this we put together a two year strategic plan for our Academy.

Treading the Boards in Shakespeare’s Stratford 

Year 12 and 13 AS/A2 Literature groups took part in a special theatre workshop at the home of the bard himself, Stratford-upon-Avon.

Many young people across the Bradford District use mobile phones on a daily basis and it is important that personal safety is always at the forefront of their minds.
